Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Sunday service times?

We have a Bible Study class at 10:00 AM

Our Sunday morning service begins at 11:00 AM

Our Sunday evening service begins at 6:00 PM.

We welcome everyone to join us for worship.

What does a worship service look like?

We have a very simple worship service that includes singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs together with Bible reading, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word. All the elements of our worship are directed to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Why do you have two services on Sunday?

We meet twice on Sunday because it is the Lord's Day. The whole day is to be given to the Lord in worship, meditation, Bible study, and fellowship with believers. The Church in the Old Testament had a morning and evening sacrifice and so we, too, meet at the beginning and end of the day to offer the sacrifice of praise, that is the fruit of our lips (Hebrews 13:15)

Can I partake of the Lord's Supper?

The Lord's Supper is intended for members of Christ's visible Church. Each of the following must be true:

1. You have repented of your sins, and are trusting Jesus Christ —
apart from any works of your own — for right standing with
God.
2. You have been baptized, either as an infant or as an adult.
Baptism, the sign of union, must always precede the Lord’s
Supper, the sign of communion.
3. You are not living secretly and unrepentantly in sin but are
striving by the help of the Holy Spirit to glorify God with your
entire life.
4. You are currently a communing member in good standing of a
reformed or evangelical church under the authority of elders.
5. You have not been excommunicated or asked by your church
to refrain from taking communion.

About us

We are the Edmonton Bible Presbyterian Church and our name tells something about who we are and what we believe.

We are a Church, a gathering comprised of fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. (Ephesians 2:19)

We are Presbyterian, meaning that we are governed by minsters and elders. Presbyterians follow the doctrines contained in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.

We believe the Bible is the holy, inerrant, and infallible Word of God which shows us the only way of salvation through faith in Christ

We are located in Edmonton, Alberta
